Do you have a rear view camera and rear view mirror that work together? I have a 40" spare tire and with the stock rearview mirror I can't see anything behind me. I don't want one that uses the radio display that I need to toggle from one screen to another to use it vs the radio or navigation. I would like to just look at an aftermarket rearview mirror and see what is behind me there. Is there such an item?

Thanks.

Yes, there is such a product. I've seen it in a jeep while driving next to it. However, I have no information on who makes it. I would be curious to know more as well.

Search this forum for "Wolfbox". Searching titles only will get you several threads. Here's one detailing the install.
Wolfbox Car Life is also a forum member and vendor. You can find their products on Amazon as well.

I installed the brandmotion mirror and camera just for this reason. 37 in spare, stuff in the rear and you can’t see out. This combo works great and even clears the visors.

I posted this question on the Wolfbox forum hoping they would have something. Thanks for the information on the Brandmotion mirror and camera, I'll check it out.

[Edit] That looks perfect, just what I was looking for. It works like the rearview mirror in my TRX, where you can choose to have the image in the mirror be from a camera or use it as a regular mirror. Did you replace the OEM rear view camera with this one, or add this camera in addition to the OEM one?

Thanks.

I'm running the echomaster stinger offroad mirror on my gladiator and the newest version wolfbox on my Tacoma....the wolfbox is far Superior but at this point I don't want to hassle with swapping it out on my Gladiator.

I added it. It’s just like a regular vehicle with a rear view mirror and a back up camera. Plus it’s a dash cam for both front and back. And yes I replaced the regular mirror. I have the factory adaptive cruise control box so the forward view camera is blocked a bit but still records almost everything.

I have an Auto-Vox V5 and I’ve been using it for roughly two years. I love it. I have the camera mounted on top of my third brake light. I accidentally cut the wire to the camera and they sent me out a new one at no charge.

Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
Here is my videos for the Wolfbox G900. Install and performance of the camera. Wolfbox also has a G900 Pro now too. I was not able to see out of my rearview mirror and removed it 4 years ago. I love not having that rearview mirror on the windshield. I installed USB ports in the mirror location. When I got the Wolfbox camera, I mounted it on the dash with an arm from 67 Design.

I use the camera to make videos like this. The drive was incredible.

this is a short off road video with a bunch of footage from the Wolfbox camera.

I also have the G900 in our 2024 Colorado ZR2 truck and it takes even better video and pics.

@WOLFBOX CAR LIFE is the contact person on this forum for the cameras. They have excellent customer service and are they are great people to deal with overall.

Note, I did get the cameras for free, with that said, a couple hundred buck one way or the other is not what I would consider a big impact on me. Knowing what I know about Wolfbox cameras after having them for about a year, I would buy them with my own money in a second. I have owned many dash cam over the years and typically run them in my vehicles. I do have link in the video descriptions and a discount code. I get approached by vendors often and have turned them all down except for Wolfbox and Cargo Dog. They are both great companies and it does not take much research not he internet to discover that they are good companies that treat their customers well.

Also free is never free. The time and resources to create the videos far out weigh the cost if I was to just buy them.

Thanks, Wibornz. Excellent information in that install video. That makes the decision easier.

Thanks for your interest, my friend. A dash cam will help you see the back even with your 40'' tire carried.
  • If you like the wifi download and voice control, you can choose our G900 Pro which has Sony Starvis IMX 678 chip.
  • If you don't need the additional features, the G900 is good enough for you. Both of them are 12'' wide.
  • The G930 is 10'', also offering clear picture, no additional features.
  • The G850 Pro has ADAS, voice control, wifi download.
For off-roading or daily driving, we get you covered. Let me know if you have any other questions.🍻
