One of my kids slammed the trunk without fully closing the rear window and the wiper arm just snapped in half...

Anyone had to take the entire wiper arm off? I wont be able to get a new part for a while, and just want to remove the entire thing so no one accidentally turns it on and scratches the window.

thx

Yup.

Without looking I think it was just a matter of lifting the end cap on the left, it's hinged, and removing the retaining nut.

I did the same thing, no kids to blame. In my case the wiper blade simply popped out of the arm. Easy fix.

OK, that did it-thanks! All good like this until a new arm comes in...
