Rear View Mirror - Shortened Mount

Since the front windshield is so small compared to other vehicles has anyone shortened or changed out the rear view mirror mount to bring it up closer to the top of the window frame? It seems like you could move it up about 2” with a shorter mount.

Thanks so much. I didn’t even have to take the mirror off just tilted it down and twisted it around moved up about 2 inches.

The info in that thread, enabled you, to have at it with knowledge that kept you from removing it altogether....
