I will be getting a stubby front for help with rock clearances; but does this matter in the rear? I like the look of the minimalist rears from Rustys and Cavfab and will probably go that way, but does a full length add any protection that I shouldnt overlook?

Full length will cover corner metal but the potential still exists for damage when crawling. Skid plates can divert your body to prevent body damage believe it or not. My vote is stubby or delete.

Yea I can see them protecting the very corners but how often do you actually come down on that location ya know. Ive settled on the Cavfab Predator front, and probably their Micro rear.

I have the predator front and rear. Rear is "mid" and I haven't put it on yet but I think it's near factory. Hugs up nice and tight from the pics.

I'd love to provide you with some feed-back, but according to my wife, all I've ever had is a "stubby", so can't really relate to "full-length"................sucks to be me.

How did the front install go? Their products look beautiful and the price is the best for what you're getting.

How do you like them so far. Have pics of the rear one?

I have the Rusty's extreme stubby and rear fascia and haven't landed on it yet. I have drug the hitch though. I also run with the air out of the spare to help protect my tailgate.

On my wife's JLUR I put a Motobilt Crusher series stubby front and a full width rear along with the spare tire carrier. I feel like the two bumpers compliment each other.

Yea I like the rear fascia protection and that was another thing I have on my list of maybe.

First thing, both F/R have beautiful welds. Second, my winch isn't on yet, so...I have to take it off again. Install of bumper only is easy, really easy. I got the skid plate as well, so it was a bit harder. Bolt them together before mounting. The only issue is then the awkward weight and lining it up. You'll need some wobbles and extensions probably. I cheated a bit since mine is coming back off for the winch and didn't do all 8 bolts to the frame. Plan is to remove it, install winch to plate, install plate, then reinstall bumper/skid. It looks like it will be tight, but it's a one time thing for me. Below is the only pic I have handy on this PC.

I was going to run the Rusty's rear fascia and rear stubby, but the wife hated the look. It somewhat bothered me the rear fenders would not line up like they do with the stock rear bumper, so I was ok with making a different choice. See the YouTube link below for what the Rusty's setup looks like. Black out those bolts/screws and it's a super clean look.

I ended up going Cavfab Crawler Full Width since the sides wrap around and give better departure angles than the stock steel bumper and are more durable. Plus they line up with the fenders when I do fender chop still.
