I just recently got a promotion at work, which means I’ll be financially able to finally get another wrangler. I had tj back when I was younger, and have always regretted selling it, and have wanted to get back in a Jeep since. Unfortunately I’m going to have to wait until around August to get mine, because I’d rather pay off some debts and get other things in line before I get my Jeep. But I’ll be getting a JLUR in either mojito or punkin. I have also been annoying my wife by constantly looking at this forum, building wranglers on the website, and adding parts to my wishlist on Quadratec. Here is everything I have so far. I will do the budget boost first to be able to fit the 37s, then add the mopar 2” lift when finances allow.

Welcome! And it sounds like a great project. Just buy your stuff a little at a time, then when your Jeep arrives you will have everything. Are you planning on ordering or just looking on dealer lots?

I am planning on ordering. Hopefully I can get a decent deal under invoice around where I live, but if not I’m only a 6 hour drive away from Koons where I know I can get 5% under invoice.

Welcome man! Good choice!

Nothing against Quadratec, but, if you’re trying to be budget minded, don’t buy everything from one place, shop around.

If you’re/were military many sites offer up to 15% off MSRP. The vendors on here also offer similar discounts, you just have to ask.

Since you have time, rack and stack your mod purchases. Focus on purchasing (1) mod at a time as another member stated. For each mod SHOP AROUND the different websites Quadratec/River City Off-Road/North Ridge 4x4/ExtremeTerrain/4-Wheel Parts and so on. Also PM the vendors on here as well.

In doing this, you will save a ton of money!

Best of luck and welcome!

PS

Many sites will offer a discount just for being a member of this forum. Most use JLWF as a discount code.

I plan to shop around, but right now it’s easy to keep my list all in one place. I did not know about the marketplace on this forum until now though, which I may be in trouble when it comes to that. Also thank you for the info about the discount code! :like:
Congrats man, you’re really going about this the smart way because when the jeep gets here and the excitement hits you and you start buying stuff without thinking it through a lot of this happens
:headbang:
Oh I’m sure plenty of that will still happen once I actually have the jeep, the excitement will set in and I won’t be able to contain myself :piggybank:

Where are you located? I'm also a 6 hour drive from Koons, and got a similar deal here locally. PM me if you're in Ohio

Welcome, brotha. To parrot others, venders on this forum are a MUCH better option than the bugger sites. Loads of information and customer service across the board.

@Kangarhew … Howdy, neighbor, and here's an early welcome aboard. I'm with @MORTON … don't put all your wishes & dream eggs in one basket. Quadratec is a fine seller of Jeep accessories, but on the pricey side. Shop around...and sponsors here will offer a forum discount.

And 13% battery? Yeah, I noticed... keep that thing charged!

I wish I could afford a Jeep. Remember the days when you could afford to buy what you built?
I build aircraft. I doubt in any lifetime I’ll be able to afford the type of aircraft I help build daily.

I keep eating Snickers bars and playing the lotto.. nothin yet!

Congrats on the promotions. For your build I’d suggest Cooper STT Pro 37s were $262 per tire shipped, since you’re getting a Rubi, why not keep the stock wheels and be sure to check out the other offerings for winches unless you are sold on the warn. We have a smittybilt and love it

Thank you, and I am definitely up for suggestions on tires. I will be using this as my daily driver, but plan to take it to the trails on uwharrie as well. So I’m looking for something with good performance on and off road that won’t wear too quickly. As far as the wheels, I would love to run the stock rims, but would prefer to stay away from spacers, and I just don’t think I could do that with 37s.

Check out Tri-City. Forum sponsor and in NC. Much closer than Koons.
Thank you very much, I would drive the 6 hours but it would be very nice to not have to.
