Does anyone know how long does it take for a dealer to do an RDR? This is something they do new they sell a new vehicle. Apparently, the dealer I bought my Jeep from forgot to do the RDR. So, it shows not sold me to but as dealer inventory.
I have also been told that dealer would have to do RDR before I can do any warranty service.
Any insight would be great. If there’s a way to tag some of the dealers in the forum please do so they can chime in.
Thanks in advance.

Not sure what RDR is, maybe it's NVDR instead? That is done (NVDR) typically on delivery day, which officially reports the vehicle as sold to the customer.

Went through something like this when I bought the Gladiator, it had an open recall as it was missing the sidesteps. They delivered it to me but I had to go back and have the steps installed before it could be “delivered “ in the system.

I don’t know.
I was at the dealer last night for some warranty stuff. They said they can’t see in the Chrysler system that the vehicle has ever been sold.
He said the selling dealer never did this RDR, which essentially lets Chrysler know that the vehicle has been sold and warranty starts at that point.

Do you recall how long did it take for the dealer to do the RDR? I bought it from an out of state dealer and he’s been not responsive at all!

It’s probably NVDR.

I had to go back to the dealer, kinda sucked as they are about 170 miles away. They installed the steps and then helped me set up the Gardian and stuff and listed it as sold. Took a couple hours total.
