My Gladiator Willy’s didn’t come with the factory aux switches. Considering getting a Rough Country MLC-6 to manage some lights I want to add.
Question is I wanted to run a pair of driving lights on front to come on with the high beam.
If I use the MLC-6 will it be possible?
Wiring and relays are new to me. Found a post on here that explained where to find and how to tap the high beam power but not sure how it would wire into the MLC-6 switches . Looks like the relay box gets all the power from the hot lead to the battery .
Should I ditch the box and buy separate relays for the different lights and just get the a multi switch?

Second part of that question is I was thinking of getting some foot well lights from diode dynamics. Can I wire these into the relay box to be able to turn them on and off with a switch from the MLC-6. It says it has 6 40amp relays. Will this be compatible with the low voltage led strips

i have the mlc-6 set up on my 2019 jl sport. and by far its a nice clean and simple set up / adding to the jeep. all the guess work is already done for you. the install is very easy to do. just take your time on the install.

as to your question in tapping into the high beam wiring. i wouldnt do it. also it does not req. you to tap into it and hook up to the mlc-6 switch. all you need to do is to have the positive and ground wire from the aux lights. on the pair of lights tap the 2 wire to the other wire. then run that pair of wire to the mlc-6 box to connect them. thats it.

yes. you're good to go. just run the positive and negative wire to the mlc-6 box.

Out of curiosity, has anybody swapped out the rocker switches on the MLC-6? Not a huge fan of the "RC" and would love to swap them out with custom switches that are labeled.

Yes I have. I used:
Twidec/3Pcs Rocker Toggle Switch 12V 20A Heavy Duty Racing Car Automotive Auto SPST ON/OFF Toggle Switch Red LED Light Illuminated 3Pin With Red Waterproof Safety Cover ASW-07DRRMZ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VNDPZ9...t_i_0AM2VQVJFGD3M01Q9KAN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

A bit tricky to get them on but they fit perfectly. Here is the install:

You don't need the RC panel to do what you want to do. A simple relay will turn on your driving lights triggered by the high beams.
