After oil change instead of simply resetting oil life on the screen, I did some “hard restart” something involving pumping brakes 3 times with jeep ignition on, etc.. can’t remember the exact steps. However, after this. I keep getting the “service electronic stability control” message, forward collision detection turned off message, a light for something to do with cruise control, and a red light that stays on below the tach.

The red light is your vehicle security light. I’m hesitant to say it because it’s a common knee jerk response here, but many people report multiple lights on the dash with battery issues.

It is possible that you may only need to charge your battery. What wires did you put wire loom on? Did you do any testing without the engine running, like running a winch, that may have drawn down the batteries. Here is a pic of the owners manual regarding that light.

Checking battery voltage at the battery itself with the Jeep off what voltage are you seeing?

Replied in the Electronics section but you didnt mention you made some electrical modifications (wire loom?)

If you successfully reset the ECU by the ignition/brake process and its going through a new system check, the errors should clear after a few ignition starts. Wait for at least 10 minutes between ignition starts to allow the systems to shut down.

Disconnecting both positive battery connections, waiting about 15 minutes and reconnecting will do another reset. Going through the 5 ignition starts again will clear any panic lights but not any actual issues.

If its not, there may be an issue with the wiring you did. Check grounds, secure connections, etc.

You 'can' clear the lights using the Tazer but that's ignoring the possible problem.

I have removed the wiring for winch and lights. Lights are gone now after clearing via the Tazer. Will drive for a bit and see if lights come back on, if they don’t.. will reattach wiring for winch and accessories to see if they are causing the issues. Not sure how it could cause stuff like FCW, service electronic stability control and what not though

Lights were gone for a bit but came back again, this is with winch and accessory lights disconnected. I don’t know what to try next. Still have aux bypassed

How long the Tazer been installed? Have you tried unmarrying and removing it? A lot of forum members here have electrical issues with the Tazer installed despite what evangelists may say

I’ve had it for quite a while. Never had issues. Tazer was removed, updated, and remarried a few days ago.
Someone in a FB post mentioned they had a similar issue and replacing the C Bus star connector resolved the issue. Just ordered one that arrives tomorrow. Guess I’m gonna try that.. just so strange none of this happened till I changed my oil last week

Not sure what “a lot” means but “evangelists“ made me chuckle. Some people do have Tazer issues.
