Hey guys just wanted to get your thoughts on something. So I took off the stock steel bumper extenders today on my JLUR. It took me a few minutes to realize that there is an extra bolt hole on the passenger side top of the bumper that is clearly visible with the extenders off (see pics below).

I haven't seen a thread about this, but it's
always possible I could have missed it in my search. I'm wondering what that hole would be for if it is in fact a fuctional hole at all. I'm a little concerned it is an erroneous hole that actually looks kinda dumb and is setting off my compulsive tendency to the point I may need a replacement bumper!

Thoughts? And thanks so much for taking the time to read this.

Pretty sure it is for a off road flag. Others have it on their steel bumpers.

Bte did you plasti-dip the door hinges with doors on or off?

Looks good. You use a matte or gloss dip?

Its for a dune flag. Its also tilted away from the grill to help with flag whip.

I just learned about the hole today. After I paid $20 to have a bracket made to attach to the factory bolts. Now I have an option if I want to leave the extensions on though.
