Today I put in the Raingler full barrier net, which I had a variation of in my XJ and really liked. The JL version is just as well built with tight, neat reinforced stitching. You can order it in many various configurations and color options. I opted for black with red stitching to match the Rubicon interior.
Install is super easy. There are two small brackets, one of each which install between the hard top and tub using the forward most hard top bolt on each side. Then you just feed the straps around the sport bars, the two brackets and the two cargo hook points on the floor.
The ONLY complaint I have is they clearly designed it using a non subwoofer or trail rail equipped JL. Normally the net fits very snug and tight all around, however, because I have the trail rail the hooks on the floor must be closer together making for a loose fit on the bottom. It’ll still perform it’s intended function which for me is to mitigate the risk of gear in the back from becoming a projectile in a crash. Now, if the seats were folded down I could see it being an issue maybe, BUT I can’t see a scenario where I’d have the seats folded down and the net still up. Once all my gear I regularly carry is loaded into the back my OCD won’t care as it won’t be visible. If I were ordering again knowing what I know now, I’d opt for the upper half coverage version for my configuration.
I’m still happy with it and would highly recommend purchasing from Raingler.
