Hello I have a 2018 keep wrangler and have been problems with the radio for close to a year. First problem I had was that I couldn’t play music from my phone and charge it at the same time because my radio will reboot itself. Took it to dealership and told me it needed a “software” update. Few weeks after the update my screen would go blank and wouldn’t allow me to play the radio, Play music do anything. And then my on/off engine light would go off after that. Took it to the dealership for the second time. Now I was told that their Software is not detecting and problems and that they can’t do anything about it! Has this happened to anybody and if so how was it fixed? #help

Your dealer needs proof that there is a problem going on. Something beyond just your word.

The next time you're having these problems, use your smartphone and document what it is (or isn't) doing with a short video clip. Next time, you'll show that to the dealer, and that should be the proof they need to work the issue.

* - Some dealers may vary. Wouldn't be a bad idea to talk to them ahead of time and confirm that (in the absence of fault codes), that will be the evidence they need.

Mine has done this randomly as well. Touch screen also looses its mind at times usually cooler mornings. I have also had the center instrument cluster go blank. These always resolve themselves after a shut down and jeep shuts down completely usually a few mins off. Sorry i am no help with the issue.

I’ve recorded it and showed them and they have witnessed all these issues themselves when I’ve dropped off the car. But they said because it’s not reporting an error once They attach it to their reader they can’t file a claim to warranty.

Under the hood, against the firewall on the passenger side is the fuse box. Crack that puppy open and push down on everything , one at a time. Fuses, fuse blocks, relays, everything. See how that goes.

I had same issue, and still do, even after the radio was replaced. I even posted about it, without any help.

Started having this issue after my last oil change 3 weeks ago, I assume an ‘update’ was done at that time. Normally it happens when I’m using USB audio or CarPlay and I end a phone call. Typical uConnect issues, have had them off and on for years in all of my Ram trucks.

Hi _stefani07_,
Sorry to hear you're experiencing this! We do rely on dealer diagnosis in order to assist, so if your dealer is giving you trouble, we'd suggest visiting another dealer in your area for a second opinion. You can locate other dealers near you at Find a Jeep® Dealership Near You | Jeep®. Feel free to send us a PM with your VIN if you need additional support.
