Hey guys,

Quick question to Tuffy Rear Deck Enclosure owners. I've found one of these used for sale locally for a very good price. Only issue is I have the rear subwoofer and the used Tuffy is the non-subwoofer version. Is the only difference between the two just a hole in the passenger side panel? If I buy the Tuffy I was planning to just cut a hole in the side, but didn't know if there were other differences that may cause a problem.

While I don’t know the answer, here are pictures of it with the subwoofer cutout. Maybe they’ll help you.

Appreciate it. Looks to me like it just has a hole cut out for the speaker. I didn't know if the metal had been molded or formed differently from the non-sub version. Thanks again!

pretty sure the only difference is the hole for the sub, pretty easy to modify. I am getting ready to make some cuts to the back panel of mine. I installed the Mopar cargo mat and the back panel won't bolt holes won't line up. I need to notch the bottom out to go over the floor mat

Figured I'd post this in case anyone else has the issue. I called Tuffy to see if I could buy just the passenger side panel with the subwoofer hole in it and they told me the lids are actually different between the sub and non-sub models. Also, in comparing the two sets of instructions, it looks like there are quite a few differences between the two, including the prop rod being mounted on opposite sides, and the way the front panel attaches to the sides is completely different. Pretty sure I can still make it work though, but looks like you can't just swap out panels between the two.

Did you ever do it? I found a super cheap one, but without the sub hole.
