Lol, well two reasons. 1, I don't have to worry about buying distilled water and mixing, and 2, because I want to carry it pre-mixed in a sealed bottle (sealed under the cap) on long off-road trips, such as to Moab in a week or so.Well, first of all, why did you buy the 50/50 premix? You could have bought the concentrate for just a few dollars more (wasn't that a Clint Eastwood movie?) and mixed it yourself and had twice what you have now. You don't have to mix it all at once but when you use some you would just pour in half of what it takes of the concentrate and then half of distilled water.![]()

I just saw on another forum that Valvoline told a Jeep owner that it was chemically exactly the same as their current Zerex Dexos formula. Since it is about $20, I'll stick with the Mopar at $22. Not enough savings to make it worth changing. Gotta see what Peak says next, or even Prestone.
Just snagged it. That's a good price!@DanW
I'm with you, I'll stick with the Premix..
I get mine here / watch here and when the price dips, I buy:

Yes, good price and I have even seen it there for a couple of $ less.Just snagged it. That's a good price!
Yeah, definitely cheaper. I was hoping to find the actual maker of the exact formula and maybe pick up a bottle for 14 or 15 bucks, pre-mix. But they are close to the Mopar's price.Whatever. Your initial post indicated that you were looking for a lower cost on the coolant, so that's why I mentioned that the cost of concentrate isn't all that much higher than the premix and you end up with twice the amount of coolant after adding distilled water.
As an example, both the premix and concentrate are available on Amazon. The concentrate is less than $4 more and a gallon of distiller water is available at most grocery stores for $1. All come in a resealable bottle.

Who makes Mopars 10 year/150,000 mile coolant?
I bought a gallon of 50/50 pre-mix but would love to know who makes it. I'm sure if we knew the equivalent, it would be a good bit cheaper.
