Rusty’s web page lists their mounting plate (RR-WM55-JL) for $209 plus $28.43 shipping. I’m about to order it. Am I missing something? Thanks.
No. It looks like I’m missing something. I was looking at that part on the Quadratec page. Guess I’ll buy from Rusty

The JCR plate says it’s made of 3/16” steel, other plates like Rusty’s Winch plate is made of 1/4” steel. Do you feel the extra thickness is worth another $60?
Been catching up on threads. Flu....

Yeah, it's fine. I don't see any flexing. Powder coating is flaking off however. Probably due to the way it was packed (took a minor hit in shipping). Mostly in non-visible places, I put some POR-15 on. I did mention this in another thread. And I was missing hardware. Not the best customer service with Quadratec. They offered me a small $ amount for my troubles. Missing hardware held up my install until I could get appropriately sized and rated hardware locally. Quadratec did hop on that thread looking for my order number, etc. I guess to adjust price I paid (I did not get a forum discount) I posted all that, and then nothing..

If you have any questions, I'd email [email protected]. He is my go to guy because I am not even close to being mechanically inclined to do anything to my Jeeps! So I have to pay someone to do mods, so he always helps me figure out what I want to do and whether it will work. Always great thru email. Plus, you can ask for the forum discount or military. I, personally, have always had great experiences.

I think the light is a very useful and innovative feature on that winch. Anyone who has respooled their winch at night will attest to how nice it would be to have had a light like that.

My buddy has an older Quadratec winch on his JK and it works perfectly. I think they are good to go. I'd have given it serious consideration if the Stealth was out when I purchased my winch.

A good winch is essential equipment on a Jeep for extracting stuck Toyotas!;)

I purchased the Stealth with the 10000 synthetic. Waiting for the winch plate to arrive, so can't install yet. Did you wire it straight to the battery or to an aux switch?

UPS dropped my after Christmas package off today. Now just waiting on my Steel OEM bumper (maybe this weekend). Stealth winch and Rusty’s winch plate. Then I just need time...

Any updates? I'm curious as to whether you went straight to the battery like 4xnaz did.

I think most go to the battery as I plan on doing as well here shortly on my install.

Any tips on the install? Doing a front bumper at the same time so wondering how the best way to run the wires.

Yes. Why not? Not sure what a winch inturrupt would do. (I’m sure lots of people will tell me)
