I’m new in this forum actually - I just bought my first ever wrangler a few months back. I’ve got a 2023 2-door sport.

I’m looking to upgrade my headlights and put in aftermarket halos. Has anybody used the Quadratec STEALTH 9" LED Projector Headlights? Comparing to Oracles, these seem brighter. They’re almost double the lumens of a few of the Oracles I’ve looked at.

I’d also love some advice on anti-flickering harnesses. I’ll be the first to admit - I know virtually nothing about this. Some of the articles I’ve read said to buy a Tazer but I don’t want to reprogram my car until my factory warranty is up.

Any advice/guidance/warnings would be appreciated!

Welcome to the Jeep family, and congrats on the new Wrangler!

It’s really common to see brands advertise “more lumens = better,” but that’s not the full picture. Lumens measure the raw light output, but what actually matters for your driving experience is the light that actually hits the road where you need it and how well the beam is engineered. A poorly designed optic with super high lumen output can throw light everywhere, cause glare for oncoming drivers, and still not help you see better.

That’s why we focus on usable light. With our projectors, the optics are designed to concentrate that output into a sharp, controlled beam pattern — so you get more brightness where you need it (down the road, on the shoulders) without wasted scatter. It’s the difference between lighting up the trees and lighting up the trail.

If you want to explore Oracle options, we’d love to have you shop with us — and as a forum member, you can use discount code WRANGLERJL10 at checkout for savings.

Hope that helps clear things up, and welcome again to the community!

I bought a set of the Oracle LED headlight bulbs for my 2021 Sahara and no complains. They came with everything you need so you don’t get any “bulb out” warnings. https://www.extremeterrain.com/oracle-jeep-wrangler-headlight-led-bulbs-h13-5236-001.html

In my old jeep I used Oracle bulbs, and they were fine for a cheep solution, however, My dad had a pair of Raxiom headlights and they were far better, and that simply comes down to the housing. Installing a LED bulb into the hallogen housing is going to result in throwing light everywhere, cars flashed me on a regular basis even with my headlights being pointed down and properly aimed. I also had an issue where one of the Oracle bulbs started flickering, and eventually went out. A quality LED headlight will provide a sharp cutoff making it so you get high definition close to the car where you need it, while not blinding on coming drivers. Simply LED bulb is low quality coverage everywhere from the road to sky, while LED headlights are high quality coverage on the road where its needed.
As for the Quadratec stealth lights, to me they seem expensive, and I can't speak to quality or anything, but the Raxoim ones I liked are about 600, and they make cheaper ones.

Good morning!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your first Wrangler! Sounds like you’re already diving into some awesome upgrades.

Both the Quadratec STEALTH 9" LED Projector Headlights and the Oracle options are solid choices — it really depends on what you're looking for in terms of style, brightness, and budget.

The STEALTH 9s are definitely a popular pick for good reason. They pack a serious punch with high-output LEDs (you’re right — they are brighter than some of the Oracles), and the built-in white/amber switchback halos add a clean, aggressive look. Plus, since they’re a direct fit for your JL, installation is pretty straightforward.

On the anti-flicker side, you typically won't need a Tazer just to run aftermarket headlights, especially with the STEALTH 9s, which include built-in anti-flicker tech. That helps avoid those annoying issues without having to mess with the vehicle’s programming or risk anything with your factory warranty.

And just a heads up, if you're a forum member, we do offer forum discounts (feel free to reach out or message us for details!).

Let us know if you have any other questions, happy to help however we can!

Hope you have a great weekend!
Ice :)

Good morning Bill,
Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, these lights are still on pre-order as they’re currently in production. The latest ETA we’ve received puts their arrival around the end of January 2026. However, we already have a few orders in for them so far.

Sorry for any inconvenience — we really appreciate your patience, and we’ll be sure to post an update as soon as they’re in stock!

Hope you have a great rest of your day!
Ice :)
