I used our local Charge Point charger the other day and am trying to figure out how much they actually charged for the electricity used.
Based on these pics, can anyone help me decipher this?

that looks like a level 1 charger - only @ 7 kw.

You were charged $2 for 2.4kw, which is only enough for 3 miles. In your case there you would have been better off buying some gas instead.

Interesting. The library is just over 2 miles from my house, and when I drove over there I started with a full battery.

To be honest....
Public charging isn't really all that practical with the 4xe. That machine is L2. I am surprised it says 7.3 kW because that means the library has 120/240 panel which isn't that common. Most should be 120/208 which would then be 6.6kW speeds.

Then the 4xe is really not that efficient in electric mode. Miles/kWh is really quite low compared to most other electrified vehicles. So that means paying public rates to charge might not be that wise at most places.

Then factor in that some charging stations charge by time vs energy delivered. Sometimes that is regulated by the state but even if the regulations allow metered billing the owner still sometimes sets the units so they charge users by the minute vs kWh to discourage occupying the plug. That is what appears to be the case here. Charged 3 cents per minute no matter how much energy was transmitted.

If you went home after the library, then it would have been better to not charge at all. If you had more errands to run then unplug and move the Jeep after you reach your desired level.
