OK, So I have a 2018 Jeep JLUR with 122,000 miles on it. I have owned it since it had 7,000 miles on it since back in the early part of 2019. A couple of days ago I noted the Driver Side Proximity Lock was not working not even the button on the handle worked. At first I thought it was the Key Fob Battery but the Passenger Door works perfect. So yesterday I had time to look into things. I removed the Handle and Caps from both the Passenger and Drivers door. Since I knew the passenger side worked I tried all the handle and the handle cap (With the magnet) on the driver door.....No luck. So then I tried the Drivers Handle and Cap on the passenger door....works perfect.

So at this point I ruled out an issue with the Handle and Cap. So I then tested voltage from the connector the Handle Plugs into when you pull it out of the door. On the passenger side I have voltage....on the drivers side....no voltage.

I know some people will suggest to check the door connector. I did....not the issue. In fact its even been over 2 years since I have even had the doors off.

So I am trying to figure out why I have no voltage? I have looked and searched but cannot find anything in reference to there be fuses dedicated to the Prox Locks. I have the fuse cover off in the engine bay and from the passenger side I can hear a relay click with I place my hand on the door handle but cannot identify where it is coming from.

There has literally been no issues that would have caused this. Its may daily driver...which recently hasn't been much since I started working from home.

Any assistance would be awesome!

Sounds like you may have a broken wire in the door harness, those wires get bent every time you open the door. If you have a multi meter check for continuity in the wires from the handle to the door connector, should be cavities #15 and 16 at the door connector.

I just had this issue with my 2019 Rubicon. The back tailgate door wouldn’t respond to me touching the handle or pushing the button on the door so I grabbed a new 2045 battery & replaced it. Now here’s the weird thing everything worked after changing the battery. So I put the key fob back in my pocket & When I touched the handle it wouldn’t work.
I emptied my pocket & realized my earbuds were the problem.
I removed earbuds from my pocket now no more interference and works fine.
