Premium Soft Top Part - Not Available ???

I just bought a 2018 JLU with freedom body colored hard top. It was on the lot so it didnt have the soft top. I would like to buy the premium and the dealer says there is no part number ? its not available ? If i would have know this i would have special ordered one. WTF ?

The tops are made by Besttop for Jeep and they cannot release their own for like 6 months after launch.

It’ll still be a Bestop. But, since premium soft tops seem to be in a supply issue for those who have ordered lately, I wouldn’t hold my breath for one from MOPAR anytime soon.

I was unable to order it with my dual top order. Then again my order was unable to be placed as the late availability colors can not yet get a color matched hard top. Hoping this glitch in the ordering software gets resolved

I spoke with Jeep customer service today to check on my order, and Amber stated that currently the Premium Soft Tops will not resume until Mid-March. Per Amber, Wrangers with the dual top (like mine) will go through the build process, and then sit and wait for the tops to be made available again. She did not hav ea firm date, but said the current estimates to begin production on them again is “mid March”.

I was debating canceling my order and getting use the hard top, but I think I would rather just wait. I’m sure others have heard this same thing, but since I had someone confirm today via the Jeep Chat, I wanted to share.

Sorry for the bad news if this is new to anyone.

Has anyone seen and/or come across any soft top tie-downs? Realistically, they aren't really needed. I just took our JL for a 15 mile r/t on the PCH with the top down and speeds up to 55 mph.
