Has anyone removed the linkage for the premium soft top from the "folding mechanism"??

I am replacing the 2 linkages and top rails due to a boo-boo with backing into a low clearance area with the soft top folded back but not down. My fault. I've got the replacement linkages and rails, but I am not sure how much oomph to put into pulling the linkage from the flimsy "folding mechanism" device.

I'm pretty mechanical, (owned a transmission repair facility for 15 years) and I have the tools, just not sure if anyone has been down this path and has a hint...

Not yet but I’m waiting for a replacement folding mechanism from Quadratec. Bought the top used a few weeks and seller didn’t say the driver side mechanism was shot and the latch cable was busted. I’m doing a full repair so interested how you make out and happy to talk through it too. Good luck

It was as simple as can be. And abrupt "pop" to the lever arms, a brief search for the keyway and a whole bunch of T25 torx bolts.

Great to hear! What part number did you end up replacing? Quadratec is on one month delay so far sending me 68453665AA.
