I just installed my Kicker HS10 Hideaway subwoofer. Everything looks good - however, no sound is coming out. I have a blue light on the sub but no sound or anything. I was talking with Crutchfield (where I bought it) and they asked if I had a multimeter, I did not. So they are going to send me a new sub thinking that might be the issue.

I did just run and grab one from autozone, but I am not sure how to use it or know what to test. Maybe it’s not getting power? Maybe there is a polarity issue? ANY help would be great.

Here is some general info that might be of assistance:

Are you using the Remote Turn-On or DC-Offset Turn On? If connected to speaker wires only without an interface, you should be using DC-Offset.

Where is your ground connection?

Where is your fused power connection?

You need to change the "input level" from "LO" to "HI". Currently the amp is looking for signal on the RCA inputs and you are using the speaker level inputs.
