We will never see any specific "reasons" from Jeep. Without a doubt, there will be prioritization on the Beach/HT versions for Jeep week. I've seen several others report that their XR builds are tentatively scheduled for build in early April (presumably after the Beach/HT builds are complete). I may just take a month off from this forum and contacting my dealer or JC. Probably better for my health and marriage...

You shouldn't be too worried, you ordered late Feb! I ordered Nov. 4th and just now they gathered my parts, but still hasn't started build. I know we are in a weird time and we can't be too picky, but I do also believe Jeep has other builds in priority which is kind of bothersome.

Had a fun event happen to me today. My build sheet popped up and found a surprise! My dealer ordered my JLU with cloth seats as seen by the order sheet, somehow at Jeep a clerical error happened. (What a shocker) My jeep now has been fitted with leather bucket seats. They removed the Mopar CAI and Doors off Mirror kit from the build as well because they do not have a eta for the back order of those parts. My dealer told me, when they are available, Jeep will send the parts out. (The dealer will retrofit the CAI when it arrives there)

Here is what the sales manager sent to me,

“Ok so I am not sure what the hell happened with the leather… it was confirmed that it was ordered with the cloth so I will make up the difference in the deal since you did not order that. The mirror kit and cold air intake were on back order with no estimation of them arriving so they built it without them. But when they come available they will be shipped to us and we can have it put on for you”

I never heard of this big of a goof with ordering! I still prefer cloth seats, but I’ll just put a towel over them and call it a day. Can’t be too mad at a free $1800 upgrade ?

Just got an estimated ship date of 4/19 for my 11/4 order.

Not to rain on your parade but usually the first "ship date" is actually the build date unless you've already gotten your window sticker.
