Glad you and the Jeep survived. The elk, not so much.

Me too. Going in I thought that the spca, Peta or some animal/wildlife organization would need to be contacted.

Yeah, it was pitch black last night, only could see them last minute. Usually see 1 or 2 but last night was a posse ?

Just looks like a raised eyebrow to me… better than an angry grill. Maybe polish it up, fix the light and leave it as is?

Oh wow, sorry to hear that. That was a big elk. Looks like you saw it right before you hit it and got a little bit of braking in? That probably helped.

Yessss!!! I saw the first 2 ran across as I was approaching then started braking as much as I could, but of course they had a few more friends behind, so that I think that helped a lot!

Hope if the elk died you got to harvest the meat or someone did? Sad for the elk sad for the jeep, glad you’re okay! I’m a hunter, but I always hate seeing animals hit or hurt not in a huntin scenario

Nah, he was ok, he continued running along into the pasture on the other side of the road

I hate when that happens!! The elk are pretty big here in Northern New Mexico. They can do a lot of damage in a very short time. Glad everyone is ok and the Jeep still lives on.

Yeah I'm in NW NM. They are huge, my goodness!! I'm very happy that I was able to drive her home and go to work this morning ?
