I’m guessing open the wallet.

Thanks man. I was hoping for better news, but that’s what I thought.Being that close to the sidewall many places won’t repair it. Take it to a reputable tire shop and they will be able to tell you
Not recommended that close to the sidewall, but you could plug it yourself. If you did plug it yourself, use it as your spare and keep it out of your tire rotations until you need to replace all.I’m guessing open the wallet.

Both are good ideas. I’ll most likely go the two or four tire route. Not recommended that close to the sidewall, but you could plug it yourself. If you did plug it yourself, use it as your spare and keep it out of your tire rotations until you need to replace all.
Also consider typical recommendation is to replace 2 tires if the tread depth will be significantly off; so be prepared for 2 tires if you take it to the shop.
A crook would have tried to sell you two tires. The auto industry is quite diverse in that regard.Good News ... The tire shop didn't even mention the need for a new tire. Plugged and sent me on my way.
I appreciate it.
That's what I expected, to be honest. I had 2-3 other shops in mind to swing by if they went straight to the need for two tires.A crook would have tried to sell you two tires. The auto industry is quite diverse in that regard.
