Just purchased a 2009 JKU Manual . Realized while driving in rain driver side carpet became soaked. Dried entire carpet and realized the plug in the picture was not secured. Brought to Jeep dealer and parts department could not identify the part any help on a replacement or just find a rubber round plug. It appears there was a type of gasket that dried out.

I've never seen a part like that before. All mopar parts have an identifying number and I don't see a mopar type number.
If you have the rubber mat upgrade ($130), it can leak under the mat where the plug is supposed to seal into the floor under the mat. I heard there was a problem fording water and having that seal 100%. My fix was to pull the plug up and use "Flex-Seal" tape (from TV) on the top and bottom. I fixed my canoe with flex seal to get home 2 years ago and it worked so well I left it on....doesn't leak a drop!
