I'm starting to see the bigger picture. I believe Tredsdert has plans for the future (WASTELAND!)
It's only a matter of time before we see the final transformation.

Someday, I hope to be that awesome!!!

Driving to work tomorrow with the hood off will definitely make me more of a Blue Ridge Mountains Redneck... I can only hope someday to achieve Wasteland Redneck status!! ? ? ? ?

Oh, I don't know about that, I think you are greatly underestimating yourself. I showed a picture of your jeep to a friend, he said, and I quote " he's getting ready for the wasteland festival." You're in Bro! Wasteland would be damn proud of your accomplishments! We enjoy following your build more than any other!

Mediocre Tredsdert! Mediocre!!!!!!!!!!!! :please:

My plan has always been to tear down the Wrangler before I build it up. However this hood is going to be replaced next year with a Rubicon hood so though it's kind of not ideal to keep messing it up more, it's not really a big loss cuz it's going to be replaced eventually anyways.

You'll see, by December of this year my Wrangler will have new fender flares, full fender liners, a coil spring spacer leveling kit up front, a body lift, and 35-in Goodyear Duratrac's. It will look normal again, short of the messed up hood and the grill that I probably still won't reinstall; It will look more mainstream. ?
I have faith in you for some reason.

I think its great!
Most of us get a dent or a scratch and its "Fuck i gotta fix this now too!"
Tredsert gets a scratch or hit with a 90MPH shopping cart and its "Im gonna decorate that shit"

Well I’m still a little disappointed that the original devil horns on the hood haven’t been replaced

Texas law says your registration/inspection sticker must be placed in the lower left corner of the windshield. You can get a ticket for where yours is but it doesn’t seem like the police are monitoring inspection stickers very closely anymore.

So I ordered these guys from Amazon for under $50, it was like $45 and change.

IMG_20230711_175624337.jpg

Just got back from my dad's, he was helping me install them.

IMG_20230712_165139210.jpg

Found out on the driver side that we needed to trim them a little bit because they were overlapping and it was causing the rubber to split away from the coil which I'm sure wouldn't have been good in the long run. So this being the passenger side, we precut it, had to trim a little afterwards, but fit beautifully in the long run.

We had to take the shocks off to get the coil to stretch out enough that we could fit it in with a little bit of 3M silicone paste. As an added no, if you don't own any silicon paste, it is probably the most handy thing on the planet. 10 times better than those aerosol lubes, and honestly it's hydrophobic so you can use it on your electronic parts as well. $15 for that little jar there on the tire, I've had it for 4 years now and only about half the bottle has been used.

It's too bad too because I have the Teraflex 1.25-in coil spacers to go over these, and the coils were so loose we could easily pop them out. I'm kicking myself a little bit because I could have installed both these RubberShox DuraTPE CSB Super Series spacers and the teraflex coil spacers at the same time, but instead I'm going to have to follow my previous plan of doing them in early August. It would have been like an extra 15 minutes max. Too bad.

It came with four green 50 lb zip ties, but I have a baggie of my own 50 lb zip ties, the black ones which I added so I had top and bottom on both holes on both driver and passenger.

It's kind of hard to tell from looking at the Wrangler, but it feels like it's sitting a little more upright with less sag in the front. It definitely did not bottom out once on the drive home, and I was taking country roads, potholes galore, trying to bottom out, and it didn't once. So these definitely are a great deal for $50. Well worth the money if you're costly bottoming out.

My dad and I went for a test drive afterwards and visited this washed out bridge near his house. My dad's 74, and still a beast in the garage!!
Mediocre! Tredsdert, Mediocre! :please:
