Plastic pin in the headlight connector.

Hi there. I'm hooking up Hella driving lights right now and I noticed this white plastic pin sticking out of the drivers side headlight connector. What is it for, any idea?

To seal the empty cavity so it is weather tight.

They are in a lot of connectors that are below the water fording depth or out of the cabin for weather proofing.

around 2015 + on GM and Chrysler vehicles, they started to pin the empty slots for protection , from weather conditions and etc.
