So what would it take to swap from oem led to oem halogen?
Not much. Make a thread in the want to trade section of the forums marketplace, and you'll likely be flooded with willing members.

Once you get them, the Jeep will need to be reprogrammed via a Tazer or a dealer visit.

Why would you do that? Unless I am mistaken, you need to switch to LED to remove the PWM in the headlight circuit so the LED's do not flicker. Not sure why you would need to go the other way. The incandescent lights do not care.

LED's draw less current and create less resistance than halogens. I know that switching from halogens to LED's will cause the Jeep to think that there's a blown bulb, because the draw is too small to detect.

I could very well be wrong, but I'm thinking that the higher draw and resistance of halogens could overwhelm a Jeep that is programmed to detect lower draw and resistance LED's. I wonder if it's possible for the halogens to end up getting browned out due to too little current being sent to them?

Again, I could very well be wrong. Most conversations tend to be about swapping in the opposite direction.

Beats me, but I'll make you a deal on 2 almost brand new halogen headlamps... Complete with bulbs...

The BCM doesn't regulate current. The only concern would be whether or not the BCM detects additional load and considers that a problem. I don't expect that there would be an issue, but it's not impossible. I haven't found the Wrangler to be very fussy about things like that.

OP - My educated guess would be that you can toss Halogens right in and they will work fine. As for cost, it's going to be expensive - you have to remember the cost of the LEDs you'll be buying again after you realize the huge mistake you've made by downgrading to halogens. ?
