Coming from the gladiator, I didn’t need a lift system since the top was smaller and lighter. Since coming over to the JL, I needed some options. I picked up a Toplift pro 2.0 and am pretty happy with it. Putting it together was time consuming but using it was easy. I have a three car garage but I use the single port and I have a (needs cleaned up) workbench and some other items in that area. I was able to take the top off in the smaller area and park under it last night. I do have some apprehension about a single gear holding the top up for long periods. I might get an old belt and use it as a back up safety measure. If any of you have any experience or suggestions, let me know. Pictures show clutter in that area and how things fit.

I don't know about the 2.0 version, but my hardtop has been sitting on top of my TL Pro v.1.0 for 8 months a year since 2021 without an issue. The v2.0 looks a little different up top, but still looks pretty stout. I'd guess that unless you have rambunctious kids or large dogs fooling around in the garage, you're going to be good to go.

Same, mine is stored on the toplift for extended periods (probably 14 months at this point). Its safe but I do add bungee cords to secure it to the lift so it doesn't rock around

I was thinking about adding a strap to mine also. Thinking about a ratchet strap or similar. Something that locks just in case. Yes, the 2.0 has some added fold out arm extensions, etc. Very sturdy.
