All, I went to start the jeep yesterday and the battery was too low, so I jumped it and let it run for a while before running errands. The battery is fully charged now, as the start/stop feature is operational, but I have a check engine light illuminated. I fussed with my Taser a bit, then cycled the ignition, and the CEL went away. All is good except my iPhone, which has paired/worked seamlessly for years, won’t play via Bluetooth anymore.

I unpaired, cleared other phones, and repaired several times. The Jeep will show that my phone is paired, but it won’t play music, and turning the volume knob while in this status accomplishes nothing. (Not just no sound. Turning the knob doesn’t even show the volume number increasing.)

Also, each time I go into the audio menu I’m able to reselect my phone from the paired phones. (It’s the only one, but that accomplishes nothing, I can’t give the phone priority, and if I wander around other menus and come back I have to re-select my phone..)

Any ideas?

Power cycle your iPhone and try again. The last time my phone paired but wouldn’t connect I ended up having to backup and erase the iPhone.

Thank you. I tried power-cycling my iPhone yesterday, but it didn’t help. Neither did cycling the jeep ignition four or five times.

Miraculously, when I fired up the jeep this morning it was paired and working properly.

There’s only one rational conclusion: my Jeep is possessed.
