Same with my 22 Rubicon, usually happens when slowing down or doing down hill. Started on trip home from dealership with 8 miles. Now have 6,500 & more worried. Mpg isn't close to what other members are getting. I have appt in few wks. See what they say
I will be interested to see if the dealer/Jeep has any updates on a fix. Please post what they say.

So I got my brand new Jeep replacement with the 3.6 and they still haven't fixed the 2.0t. they have had it for 2 months now and still no fix figured out all I know is that it isn't getting the correct fuel pressure. They changed the high pressure fuel pump, a sensor on the rail, fuel lines and the turbo gasket and still has hardly enough pressure to turn over the motor. I won't have any more updates because the vehicle is now owned by the dealership. I hope what I've posted has helped others I'll check in periodically to help anyone else in the same situation.

This just happened to me. ‘22 2.0T Automatic Rubi. I am on day 6 of ownership. Still in love with my Jeep, but saddened by this event. Glad I found this thread.

Decelerating, level to slightly down hill grade. It came on for about 5 seconds, no performance issues noticed.

Here’s the other thing I’ll say. It’s not the fuel or fuel contamination. If it WAS bad fuel, we’d be seeing all kinds of issues nationwide, across multiple vehicle brands, consistently, every day. Problems related to fuel would be manifesting across the country. They are not.

The fact that this is happening to 0.2% of Jeeps on the road, under pretty SPECIFIC conditions (deceleration, generally) tells my logic that this is a Jeep sensor or software problem. Isolated events.

My guess is that the BOV in the 2.0 isn't opening fast enough when you decelerate right after accelerating and the transmission had dropped a few gears to compensate.

It probably creates a higher intake manifold pressure spike than the computer can understand. There is a delay, and since the fuel delivery rate/pressure is still being delivered, the computer freaks out and thinks there is a problem with fuel delivery vs. demand.

Again, just a guess based on what I've experienced and have rationalized while sitting in traffic.

I think that’s an excellent guess. Makes sense to me that some threshold is being briefly exceeded with fuel delivery/MAP… and the logic is reporting that anomaly.

Took mine in.

Was given this star case and told to open a case with Jeep cares.

S2214000001

to which I was told

“Per this STAR case, if no diagnostic trouble codes are found, no repairs are recommended at this time.”

That's what I figured they would say. Nothing will be done until it throws a check engine light or it leaves you stranded on the side of the road.

Thx for posting that. This makes me think it’s just a minor anomaly and nothing serious is happening inside the fuel system or engine. Just a goofy message, or ‘glitch.’ And with no codes, they might have a point… just a software glitch. But I’m totally guessing.

4,025 miles on the after work commute and this message appeared after an acceleration. This is the 3rd time I've seen it.

Mine happened again yesterday after a wide open throttle event, followed by deceleration, which has me inclined to agree with Pinion's opinion.

Having this issue with my 22 rubi. Has happened about 20 times now. I have under 1000 miles. Going up and down hills seems to cause it the most. Cant get it to happen in manual mode. Also pulling hills I cant get past 70mph seems like car is retarding fuel supply. Only getting 14mpg as well.

I bought this from Gupton, but live in AZ. Anybody know how lemon law works if you purchased out of state?

Dealership "drove vehicle & couldn't recreate the error code" was excuse I got just now. Going to pick up Jeep today. My mpg is barely 18 for 7,400 miles. I had 2020 Willy's w/3.6 with 20k miles and avg was over 20mpg. This should be getting way better gas mileage & FCA is just ignoring the problem.
