Hello, recently I have noticed after a big excruciating rainstorm that the upper side of my door rubber seal is not level with the jeep frame or soft top. I am being thru other heavy storms and never leaked a single drop inside. found lots of water inside on floor, big mess. Noticed that door has somehow moved out alignment, now has a gap on very top corner where i can see outside light coming in (rear part of door). Also Noticed front part of door top corner do seem like aligned with that part of frame, like is drop some. unlike my driver side door that is perfectly aligned with frame. I don't know what happened but it was not like that. I tried lifting latch on door frame up, this stopped more rain from coming in but now I have to lift door to close it, or it slams on door latch. roads around this area got poor maintenance so it feels like driving on a road in town is like driving off road, there no difference believe me. I also checked soft top just in case was not secure but that thing is so tight and secure not even air goes in. Sense tells probably something happened to hinges, could they have gotten loose maybe? I found some videos on you tube but they don't really show you much how they fix anything. just what they turn loose off. Nothing about how you actually align a door while still on the jeep or what tools would I need. I don't know what those hinges do or which way They move (my first Jeep). some videos showed they only move in and out to bring door in. I don't want to start taking anything off until I know for sure how to go about it or tools I may need? Just trying to lift door up some so it matches and helps rubber seal do his job.

Found out is a JK bad design. only takes a few mils and it will leak. upon further inspections i managed to raise door near where use to be by moving side hinges the ones you can see from outside door close. also found out that the female screws that hold those pins in place were removed by prior owner (mine look bend now). never put back, how smart is that, unless never rains where you live and someone always in a hurry to take doors off. Is not like used to be but is close and stopped leaking. A jeep place suggested that I go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get a marine seal installed in the upper half part of door frame (I haven't tried that yet). Thank You to all that answer this thread
