Part Identification: Mystery Rocker Panel Guard

I was looking for rocker panel guards that I wouldn't have to drill into the body for. I also just don't like the "bolted on" look. I stumbled across this 392 with a hole-less version installed, not sure if plastic or metal. I'm guessing it's held on by 3m tape. Anybody know what product I'm looking at? Thanks!

That's black vinyl wrap, most likely.

Do the stick on rocker guards do anything beyond cosmetically or maybe scratches?

In the case of the GenRight versions, even the bolt on versions are simply there for cosmetic purposes. They are 3/16" aluminum so they mainly offer protection against minor damage. I installed a set of the GR bolt on frame mounted sliders on the Jeep so I don't need protection.

I don't even think they look good...but fortunately everyone has different tastes...my wife won't even let me shop for my own clothes...

I was thinking the bolt on version might distribute some of the load on a small impact since there is some clamping force between the two pieces as compared to a stick on piece.
