I've an Excel spreadsheet that plots the date, mileage and other relevant bits of line item data for the Jeep. Additionally, I keep an envelope in the garage in which all receipts for oil & filter purchases are stored. Easy peasy.

If I really wanted to get granular, I could also take photos when I'm performing the work. Apart from the occasional demo photo that I'll share here, though, I usually don't bother.

Do you have the 2.0L T? If so what part is your drain valve? I need one of those as long as it don’t leak

I do.

Part #F106N. No leaks observed to date.

No extension nipple required. I say that because the same valve fits on my wife's Honda, which did require the extension piece.

How do you keep a record, and what do you suggest for me to keep the record for warranty purposes?

I keep a log with the date and mileage of any work I do. You may want to keep receipts too. My non MOPAR extended warranty required receipts for oil changes when the head gasket blew. The contract states that receipts are required and a maintenance log is insufficient. Fortunately I was able to provide all receipts except 2 filters and my replacement engine was covered.

the mopar jeep app works for me. I have been using it on all my mopar vehicles since 2013 and never had a problem losing information I have put in. I also save the oil and filter receipts in a folder.

I keep my receipts for oil and filters. I staple them to a sheet of paper and write the date and mileage on it. The receipt generally shows enough detail about the product purchased such as Oil Filter and Mobil 1 0W20 and I just make some notes on the paper about the service performed.
