Xpel is the gold standard. I had it done on the front edges of my pickup. The problem is that it gets hard and somewhat brittle after a number of years and becomes difficult to remove, and leaves the adhesive behind. It's a big mess and a lot of work to remove. There's no perfect solution. Large area coverage of PPF is very expensive and rivals paint repair. Ceramics can provide pretty significant abrasion protection. I had a car that was ceramic coated and was hit with a glancing blow in a parking lot. There was transfer of paint from the other vehicle and significant damage to my quarter panel. But a paintless dent wizard was able to fix it because the paint was undamaged.
I ordered a couple bottles of Adam's Graphene Ceramic Advanced a week or so ago. It just showed up today. My new 2026 is white, but it was made Nov 2025 and sat on the lot. The plan is to iron remove and clay it, but not go through a paint correction, although I have a couple pro polishers and all the stuff, it's just too much work. Well, maybe a touch up, it it looks bad.
Sounds good to me! My 25 has about 5k miles on it and I’m going to clay and then apply the ceramic spray wax. I have a small scuff on the door which I’m going to remove by hand with some of griots’ complete compound first.
Than just wash, clay, wipe prep and coat. At the end of the day you are the only one that need to satisfy by the lookStuff I hoped I'd never use again.
In 2019 I applied Drexler ceramic coating to my Renegade. Still shines like it was just waxed. In 2022 I applied Avalon Kings ceramic coating to my Wrangler. Both were tedious, day-long projects, but well worth it.
