Paint Protection Recommendations

My new JLU has about 5,000 miles on it and sits in the sun for most of the day when not being driven. I am looking to put some kind of protection on the paint and non-painted fenders. I would love to hear what you guys have had success with. I want something with easy application, that would also make washing and drying a bit easier. I have some washing products from Adam's on order and really seem to like their lineup. I've heard good things about their graphene ceramic spray coating advanced but would like to hear what you guys have to say before I purchase anything. Thanks!

I had good success for years using NexGen ceramic spray. Easy to apply and the protection seemed to last a good 6 months between refresh.

About 9 months ago I started using MaxlONE which like NexGen is a spray on, wipe off product. The difference is that MaxlONE can be used after a car wash without drying the vehicle first. Use it on the paint, glass, rubber, plastic... every surface, and yes even under the hood.

Spray it on, wipe it off, then come back later with a clean dry microfiber and buff of any residual film on the windows and the protection lasts a long time. I even do the door jambs with stay clean in between washes. Im liking this product.

I used Xpel to ceramic coat the jeep....works great. Wash rice dry and you are done. It is great on external glass too.

I’ve been using Wizards detailing products for many years with great success. Their Shine Master polish, Mist & Shine detailer, and Mystic Spray Wax are all staples in my garage. Once you get a good coat going, the bugs just fall right off. The stuff’s easy to find as well. The Farm Store or Napa usually has it in stock.

Ceramics or graphene coatings are amazing. The easy spray stuff is good for a street vehicle and light off-roading.

I just picked up a new 392 Moab and I'm thinking of doing a full ceramic or graphene coating to help with the pinstriping. I know it works, because I had a 14 Camaro that was pro coated with ceramic and it was hit with glancing blow in the parking lot at work (when I used to work), and it caved in the quarter panel, but a really good paintless dent guy fixed it, since the ceramic saved the paint. I was amazed how much protection the ceramic provided the paint.

Did my 2026 Sahara with Adams Graphene (not the spray coating) and it came out awesome! Can't believe how the firecracker red shines with this coating! Pretty simple application process as well. You can use this on the bumpers and plastic parts as well.

Did you do any paint polishing or prep prior to application? I have a new white JL that I want to coat, mainly for brush pinstriping protection. I do have a ton of pro prep equipment and supplies, such as a dual action polisher and rotary polisher and all the Chemical Guys pads and polishes. But frankly, it's a pain the ass to go through all that and I'm not going for a carshow finish, just basic protection.
