I recently purchased this light bar and mounting bracket for my JLUR, but I am having some hold-ups with installation.

First, I am curious if anyone knows of replacement bolts for the bottom of the A-pillar on the hood. When the bracket is on, the two lower bolts are just long enough (but could still be longer) and the top one needs to be longer. It is extremely difficult to get them to all thread in. I'll use loctite when the time comes.

Also, is the best way to route the wiring down the inside of the bracket? Or is it customary to go down the interior of the A-pillar?

Finally, and most importantly, should I be concerned about the possibility of rubbing of the bracket on the paint? If so, what is the best way to mitigate this?

Thank you in advance.

I haven’t installed one yet, but in my research, it’ll most are putting the wires under the bracket.

Most of the brackets come with spotty gaskets to protect the paint. I wonder why a full length gasket isn’t provided.

I am currently looking for a bracket with a hole to put the light bar in. Most have these cutouts to slide it in and I’ve heard a couple of stories about them coming out.

I hope that provides a little bit of insight.
