Been searching light bars and saw this one. Looks like it will possibly work for what I’m planning. Just have a few questions for you guys that have this.

1. anyone have any issues with water leaks having to run the harness over the windshield gasket?

2. can you still use a sun top like a spider shade with this being having to clip it into the frame channel behind the windshield?

3. and I’m guessing the best routing for the wires is down the a pillar behind the plastic trim?

4 for those who had it painted how much did you guys spend on that?

hi! @Phantom01231 happy to answer some of this for you:

1. anyone have any issues with water leaks having to run the harness over the windshield gasket?-

When installed properly, the harness tucks neatly along the windshield and under the cowl without having to break the factory seal or compromise the gasket, so no water leaks.

2. can you still use a sun top like a spider shade with this being having to clip it into the frame channel behind the windshield?-

We haven’t personally done an install with a Spiderweb Shade or similar sun top alongside the roof light bar, but based on what we’ve seen and some feedback from users, it shouldn’t interfere. The light bar mounts forward of the windshield and the shade material typically doesn’t extend all the way to the front edge of the frame — so there should still be space to clip it in as normal.

3. and I’m guessing the best routing for the wires is down the a pillar behind the plastic trim?-

Yep, you got it! The cleanest and most common wire routing is definitely down the A-pillar behind the plastic trim. It keeps the harness tucked out of sight and protected from the elements.

Thanks for the reply. Do y’all by chance have any photos on how it’s being routed along the windshield? The install video I saw didn’t really get into that other than routing it over the gasket between the top and windshield in a notch / channel in the gasket.
