Does anyone have any intel on the future of Outback Adventure Products?

I recently learned Doug Horne (owner/founder) passed away in September of last year (2025). Sad to hear this news, as every interaction I read that people had with him it was a positive one and he was well liked by the industry.

I’m posting this because I purchased a trailgater table last month. I emailed last week asking about it, didnt hear anything so I called this week and left a voice mail, still nothing. It also seems every product on their website says it’s backordered.

Are they no longer in business?

I received my table about three weeks ago. Took about 6 weeks. I emailed to make sure it came before Xmas and got an email pretty much with no info. But it did come eventually. They are still there bi think the family issues set them back. Table is awesome.

OAP had a table at EJS.

talking to the guy that was there, it sounded like there's been a change in ownership following the demise of the original owner, but he and the founders son are making a go of it.

i was given a couple of extra latches for mine just because i commented on not really caring for the weird pond scum green color of my originals, so it seems like there is a spirit of customer service there.
it's obvious they've had some hiccups getting things rolling, but i personally hope they can make it work out; i'm pretty happy with the way my table has performed, and it's gotten a lot of use.
