hey everyone, just wondering if anyone has had any luck with having packages added at the dealership. Im finding the JL that I want in stock at a few different places but not with all the packages. The cold weather package in particular. Does anyone know if they can add some of these at the dealership or is it at the factory only.

thanks

Not sure if this is for all options but I know you can buy them and have them installed. This however will be much more costly than when it is done at the factory.

Better to order exactly what you want when you are paying this much money IMO.

Adding heated seats or remote start aftermarket is pretty straightforward and inexpensive. It won't be as well integrated as stock. Adding a heated steering wheel is basically not doable.

So it depends what you really want.

Heated seats are basically no problem aftermarket and should not keep you from getting a stock vehicle IMO.

There are some limitations - they won't be integrated with touch screen or remote start and may not use the factory buttons- but they are inexpensive to add and should function as well as factory.

Currently, at least in my part of the country, in-stock JLs are in such short supply and the allotments are so low, that the all the dealerships I talked to openly stated I could get a MUCH better deal on a special order. A couple of dealers stated the units they had in stock were going for MSRP.

Your mileage may vary and I am sure this will change as more JLs become available in stock.

I've begun to look into those, thanks for the tip
