Ordering soon, 8.4" or 7"?

We have a 2018 JKU lease we are turning in later this year, and will be ordering a 2021 JLU Rubi in the coming weeks. We want the Alpine system, but I can't see why I would get the 8.4" if I don't want Nav. It seems like lots of people have upgraded from the 7" to 8.4" Why?

Is it just the Nav and extra screen space?
Is there a difference in sound? We test drove the 8.4" Alpine, and liked it. Will the 7" sound different?
Are there any extra buttons or features the 8.4" has that the 7" will not?

Yes... I've done a search, but it returns so much crap that it seems like it would take longer to sift through the results, than to just ask the questions.

If I had it to do over again, I would not have gotten the 8.4. very glitchy. I'd go cheaper and replace immediately with the Heigh10 and sell the brand new OEM.
