Hi everyone, I'm glad to (almost) be back in the Jeep family. I was taken home from the hospital in a 1977 CJ7 Levi's edition, so that must have influenced me! I've owned a few Jeeps over the years including a 1992 Wrangler Islander, a 1981 CJ7 (305 Chevy), and 4 Grand Cherokees. All but the 92 Wrangler have been V8s, so of course I had to get a 392. I ordered #4 of the dealer's 5 allocations, and we're hoping for about an April delivery. The dealer got confirmation last week that their first order is moving to production and should be delivered by the end of this month. I'm paying MSRP, but no word on what that is.
The specs are Sting Gray, sky one-touch, dual doors, tow package, satin black grille, and hinge gate reinforcement. My first mod will be new tires - really want 37s but might stay at 35s depending on the factory wheel width/lift (installer wants to confirm the clearance given the extra engine weight). Looking forward to seeing some pictures of folks' early 392s!
