I’m going to be doing quite a bit to my 392 over the next month. I’m going with a 3.5 inch lift. I’m currently running BFG KO2 37‘s in C load. My only issue is that these probably will look small on a 3.5 inch lift. I would like to keep the light weight because the car is still quite fast and its current form. Are there only three options right now and 37‘s with C load?

I am looking for a true 37 A/T that’s still fairly light and I’m not entirely sure what direction to go towards. I might consider the BFG KO2 39‘s but I’m open to other suggestions.

Cooper makes a 37x12.5R17LT but it's load range D, measures 36.77 and weighs 77.2 lbs. C to D shouldn't be too rough of a change.

I like those they look pretty aggressive I wonder how different they would actually feel but I’m sure everything will be different once I actually put the lift on.

do you have any knowledge on the tires below and what they might sit at when mounted?

I don't have any experience with Mickey's, just Nitto, Toyo, Yokohama, BFG, and Cooper.
Those have a speed rating of F which equals 50 mph 😨

Here is what 37's look like on a JLURD with a Mopar lift. I will probably look at the new Nitto 38x12.5x17 for the next set.

The 37" KO2s look a little better once it settles in, but they do look smallish for the lift size.

A couple reference shots, this is a 4xe, but I'd assume the MC 3.5" will end up at a similar height regardless. This is MC 3.5" with 37" KO2 (Ds). Shock eye to eye ~24" F / ~27" R. Clean is immediately after lift, dirty has a thousand miles or so on it.

Not for nothing, but I immediately felt an increased stiffness when I went from C-rated 38x13.5 Milestar Patagonias @ 35psi to D-rated 40x13.5 Patagonias @ 35psi. I thought the 1" thicker air cushion would've offset the higher load range, but if it did, it wasn't enough of an offset to not notice as soon as I was pulling out of the tire shop parking lot.

How negative would you define stiffness?

Not bad at all. What were you running before and how noticeable was it after you switched? Also (I’m being lazy) how much do these weigh?
81.9 lbs according to Nitto.

I replaced 37x13.50r17 Mud Grapplers that were E rated and 97lbs each. My King shocks do a good job of isolating the tire from the suspension, so I didn't notice much with the sidewall stiffness. Weight and tread pattern changes were immediately noticeable.

Funny, I was just about to edit that post to explain that.

It was noticeable, but not nearly enough to cause regret. Truthfully, I don't think I burned so much as a gallon of gas before it stopped blipping my radar. Every change that I make to my Jeep, I become hyper aware of any difference to the feels.

Also, if it wasn't for the rounded tread design between the tires shoulders, I would've dropped a couple of psi to further offset the higher load rating and still pass a chalk test all the same.

I'm thinking that between your wanting a taller tire (thicker air cushion) and the ability to lower psi in a flat tread designed tire, a D wouldn't make too big of a difference, but would open up more possibilities.

The D rated 37x12.50r17 Baja Boss AT we have on the 18 JLUR rides nicely. IMO, probably the best looking AT available.

I have the Baja Boss AT in 35x12.5r17 and I don't really notice the D rating but besides my wife's Ford Fusion, my only other recent driving experience is driving my old '91 Ram W250 with completely shot shocks and the original and now flat leaf springs.

I have been very happy with the on-road performance of them through a Montana winter as well as their off-road performance on the Middle Fork Judith trail a couple weeks ago. For me, I'm happy to take good performance and sacrifice a little comfort. If these tires last well, I'll probably replace them with the same in a 37x12.5r17. But again, everything is more comfortable then my old truck so take that statement with a large pinch of salt.
