Did this Denver local group get off the ground? I am looking to meet fellow jeepers in the Denver/South Denver area (I am located in Littleton).
Im interested as well. I’m up north but would like to meet some new peeps!
I'm thinking about getting to Moab from the 6th through the 10th of November. Any interest?

Also looks sketch for this weekend with pumpkin carvings and birthdays... but maybe after Halloween? I'm game to tag along as time allows so post up if you are headed out.

I am absolutely interested in Moab but realistically a trip out to Moab isn’t in the cards until the spring.

Are you guys able to get out during the week at all? I have been trying to take off days from work here and there to get out on the trail.

Also, outside of trail runs, I was thinking of getting some people together to hit a brewery to be able to get to know each other and talk jeeps. Would that interest you guys?

Would it be better to create a new thread for our “official Denver area meetup group” or continue with this thread? I thought it might be better to create a new one to help guide others our way? Thoughts?

You can count me in on the interest in this group. Jeep is getting built now.
I’m game.

Need some advice. I am looking into lifting my Jeep. I called some shops and they all were recommending or pushing different things.

Highcountry 4x4 and Bullhide 4x4 both recommended running a Teraflex ST 2 with Falcon 2.1 shocks for my Moab. Northridge said they can do what ever I like and said Dynatrac, Teraflex and AEV were popular choices. Trail Jeeps set me up with a quote with JKS and Fox shocks.

I’m personally torn between the Dynatrac with Fox Shocks or Teraflex ST2 with Falcon Shocks. I am kinda nervous about the Teraflex because a lot of people on the forums say there stiff. I have no idea what that means. My two previous cars before the Jeep was a modded G35 and then a Audi Q5.

I’m looking for a daily driver setup for with decent handling for 35s but able to tackle some easy trails to medium trails.

I guess any feedback or opinions would greatly help.

Based on the feedback provided in the thread discussing the idea of an official Denver area group, here is the thread for the group. The purpose of the group is to get together to hit trails, hang out, drink beer, talk jeeps, etc.

It sounds like people are pretty busy this coming weekend with Halloween festivities but would anyone be available to get together either the Friday, November 1st or Sunday, November 3rd?

ps. Here’s my JLUR, just picked it up at the end of August. Absolutely love it!

November 1st works best for me. I'll be traveling for work November 3-6.

Picking up my 2020 JLUR on Wednesday from Criswell outside of D.C.. I can't wait to meet other owners from the Denver area. I plan on keeping mine fairly stock other than bumpers from AEV (whenever they're released), a belly pan, and a Ursa Minor pop top camper.

I had an XJ for a while but sold it years ago after moving to the East Coast from Denver. Just moved back a month ago and ordered a new Jeep ASAP. I'm really interested in Overland style trips (can't wait to hit as many of the mining, logging, and fire trails as time allows) and meeting others with similar interests.

Pic attached is of my JLUR waiting to be picked up.

I'd be down for this. Replied in the new thread.

Right now Friday November 1st works for me.

I’m looking forward to meeting some folks. I live up north in Windsor and am hoping there are other up this way too.

Here’s a couple pics of mine I bought at the end of July. I just finished getting everything put on it thanks to Trail Jeeps in Golden. I haven’t gotten to take her out for a shake down run yet so I’d be game for something that’s not too extreme the first time out. Want to get a good feel for how she works before hitting it too hard.

It’s a toss up. For what you’re doing, I’d say Teraflex or MetalCloak. I’m running the MetalCloak 3.5” Game Changer with their Rock Sport shocks and am very happy with it. You could do the 2.5” Game Changer and have plenty or room for the 35’s.

I did the same thing. I talked to all the same shops you just mentioned and got the same recommendations. They all have their personal favorites because who they work with the most. I know after tons of research I found more people happy with the MetalCloak than the Teraflex So that’s why I made my decision.

I personally narrowed it down to Teraflex and MetalCloak. They all said I would be happy with either one and said the ride would be better with the Tereflex because of the shocks. I was going to try the Falcon shocks with the MetalCloak lift but everyone told me not to mix and get the shocks valved for the springs. Makes sense I guess. I’m just not sure what I’ll do down the road when I do need shocks.

Good luck.

I was just telling my wheeling buddy (2019 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison) that we need to find some other people on the front range to wheel with. Not sure I can make the aforementioned dates, but count me in as future participant once my JLUR arrives.

I’m a Saturday wheeler and get out a couple times a month. Would love to join when it works out. I’m returning from a 7 day international business trip the evening of the 1st, so won’t be up for joining this first go around.

There is a Colorado group from the other thread that has moved over to the slack app for coordinating. They go out mostly on Sunday’s which is a day I typically can’t make. Hope we can get some Saturday dates!
