There are some BoH trails on the west side of Knoxville. Beyond that, most of that area is parking lot now. I don't know if there are any in SMNP.

Windrock Park is an hour away, Oliver Springs...can't beat it.

A good source can be AllTrails (website or app) just filter for “off road driving”.
As mentioned, there are a couple Jeep Badge of honor trails within a couple hours. Windrock has a couple and there’s on down by the GA border (Beasley Knob).

Theres also a trail right off of 40 on the NC/TN border I think it’s called hurricane creek.

Also, depends on what you are looking for. If you just want to offroad some forest trails, I remember seeing a video on youtube about the Smokey Mountain 1000 or something that is a loop of trails around the park.
