Hi everyone,

Happy Holidays!

I recently purchased a 22 JLU Sport S the previous owner replaced the oem wheels and tires with aftermarket 20" rims with 275/55/20 tires. They left the oem 17" wheel on the carrier when they traded it in. My plan is to purchase a 20" wheel and mount that size tire on the rim. Based on published specs combined weight is 80lbs will I have any problem mounting this on stock carrier? Anything I will need to address?

TIA

If that's the size you're mounting, it will fit with no issues. I see you have quite a bit of offset difference as compared to stock wheels, so you will almost certainly need bump stop extensions, as the tire will not touch them. Not having the tire touch the bump stops will result in vibration that will eventually damage the tailgate.

Also, the center cap will have to be left off to accommodate the rear view camera.

Thanks, I suspected there might be an issue with the bump stops, going to have to research a solution to address that.

Sorry, posted with finishing the sentence. If you have dual drilled wheels, 10 lug holes for multiple applications, I would not recommend spending money for a 5th one. I’d go for 5 proper fitting hubcentric wheels with more offset to bring them in a bit. Just my opinion though.

Thanks for the info, I have to pull the center cap to see if they are dual drilled or not. Financially for right now I have to live with these wheels. The spare I ordered is only a 5 hole
