Question - just lifted Sport, picked up some Rubicon wheels and put 285/75/17 Nitto ridge grapplers on. Tire shop had difficulties with spare and had to add shims to the studs to get it to secure properly. I haven’t looked yet but has anyone had any similar issues with a sport? I am thinking the tire may be hitting the bumper not allowing it to push back far enough.

Hmmm I thought these would fit stock myself. I have 285/70/17's which fit fine. Yours are about an inch taller. This could be an issue when my 315/70/17's get installed in a couple weeks. My plan is the 315/70/17 KO2 AT's on the stock Rubi wheel.

Picked it up - the brake light is crammed into the top and it is rubing hard on the passenger side cutout in the rear bumper. I will need a relocation bracket to fix it properly.

The 285/70/17 fit but took some cranking on the lugs to get the tire to compress the rubber bumpers on the door. Your tire is almost an inch larger so you probably need to raise the mount somehow.

So it sounds like the relocation bracket is needed? Is the Rubi bumper that much different as they all seem to fit 35's no problem on the stock carrier.

The thing I'm most disappointed about is this bracket sounds like it weighs around 11lbs. My Rubi wheels are 21lbs and the K02's are 65lbs so it would have put me just at the 85lb limit. I didn't want to add another 11lbs.

SkyJacker did my lift and they have a bracket coming out soon - not sure on design or weight but they are going to let me know when I can pick one up.

I ordered the Rough Country relocation bracket. If the 285/75/17 barely fits I don't see anyway the 315/70/117 will.

I have 35" KO2s (inflated to 38 PSI) on my Sport S and the spare just barely rubs the bumper (not enough to be a problem and it opens and closes just fine). I have my tires on 17" wheels with a -12 offset. My only real issue is the occasional reverse warning tone--due to the either the backup sensors, or maybe the lane/bindspot assist sensors, or even the backup camera picking up the fat tires. I would really like to see a product that extends the backup cam out about an inch to maybe avoid this problem.

Drop your tire pressure to 30-32 psi. 38 is too high. The tire will fit better and your Jeep will ride better.
