North carolina mirrors

I know nc requires side mirrors. Anyone in nc know of this is enforced? Do I need to get a side mirror before pulling my doors for the summer?

In eastern NC here they don’t seem to enforce it.
I have some CMM mirrors for my truck but don’t have the mounts in my Wrangler. I haven’t even had trouble with my old Cherokee or Samurai when I had that.

I drove for a while around Cabarrus county before I got the CMM mirrors and no cops ever looked my way. I doubt they pull you over for it but can tack it on if you get pulled over for anything else. The CMM mirrors are great and for sure recommend them.

We are just over the line in Ft. Mill SC and have lived in NC as well. We've hav 0 issues on either side of the Carolinas. Get those doors off and enjoy the weather.

If you call or email CMM they will sell you just the mounts. I only have provisions to have the doors off one of them at a time, so I got one set of mirrors, and and extra set of mounts, so both the JL and JT have the mounts always in them ready to go, just put the mirrors in whichever one I have the doors off of.

I cannot speak for everyone, but I got pulled over for speeding once, had no doors, tops, or mirrors on with my foot was hanging out the window and the cop just wrote me up for speeding. I probably wouldn't suggest it though, cheap ones on amazon aren't too expensive, and the CMM ones seem pretty cool.

Here's a quick and CHEAP answer to side mirrors. O'Reily Auto Parts sells a Scooter Mirror that is the same bolt size and thread of the cowl bolts. Part #: 970830 is only $8.49 each. All you have to do is pull one of the side cowl bolts and screw in the mirror and arm. Works Great!!!
