I have a 2025 RubiconX. Twice I’ve turned on heat this winter and nothing but cold air. I had temp on hi, made sure A/C not on. After switching what locations the air blows it finally started hot air. Anyone else experience this?

I dont have an answer for you but turning the A/C button on or off doesnt change what temperature the hot air comes out at. What it does is 'conditions' the air by removing humidity before its heated.

92 degrees here yesterday.

We have some heat we could loan out.

Its most likely a blend door actuator issue. Take it in and have your Dealer repair it.

I have a 2025 Rubicon X as well and have the same intermittent issue. Dealer couldn't replicate it so I have to deal with it until it finally breaks. I've heard the same response that it's the actuator that needs to be replaced.

Changing the location the air is blowing out of wouldn't have made a difference unless this is the issue. Definitely take it to a dealer. I believe this is one of those issues where the part is like $20, but it takes hours to get to. not worth fixing yourself when you have a warranty

Very odd; check for DTCs using a good scanner in the HVAC module. This sounds like a blend door issue, which is odd as you have left and right blend doors. For them both to mess up at the same time would be super weird. Did you verify ALL the vents are blowing cold AND the engine is warmed up?

Remember max heat on auto is going to default heat to on your feet, not the vents. You have to manually select vents if you want heat out of them

This sounds similar to an issue I am having in my 2025 rubicon X. I sometimes have to turn the temp to HI to get hot air or turn off the heat and turn it back on and then it starts blowing hot air instantly

This is not accurate. Temperature is controlled by blending air that flows over the evaporator and air that flows over the heater core. They are parallel paths. You cannot have air flowing through the evaporator without cooling it.

the system just blends air, it doesn't send it through the evaporator to then send it through the heater core. the a/c is used for defrosting the windshield
