First off, I'd like to say I'm super stoked to have recently bought my first wrangler. Whoop whoop!! Wanted one all my life and things just never lined up until recently.

So...I'm not the best with cars but am excited to learn. Once in my past I was swapping a battery ( done this many times before ) and blew a crazy expensive fuse in a 2014 Silverado. This ended up setting me back quite a bit and making me skittish to even touch the battery in my cars since.

I know this sounds crazy but I just hate wasting money and ,honestly, it made me feel like an idiot. It's just swapping a battery.

In my new jeep, id like to add a switch bank and some lights on the cowls. Obviously I'm nervous to touch the battery, but know I have to.

Does anyone have any tips on making sure I don't blow any fuses or mess anything up during the install?

Thanks.

Honestly, it feels like a crazy question in my head, so I get it.

I feel when I blew the expensive fuse on my Chevy, I did something wrong when hooking it all back up. As soon as I connected the terminals it popped and I'm just not sure what I did wrong there. I just don't wanna make that same mistake on the jeep. The fuse that blew was part of some massive fuse bank that had to be completely replaced.

Thanks though!

I didn’t either, I bought the lasfit.com auxiliary kit for about $275. Easy install, great video provided by the company, then install of accessories is simple.

Thanks for the recommendation. I love how detailed their instructions are. Seems pretty straight forward.
