New wheel and tire question

I have a 2018 jeep Moab. I am looking at getting at getting American lone star wheels that are 17 by 8.5 and going up to a 285/70/17 tire instead of the 255/75/17. My question is do I go with the 10 offset or the minus 10 offset? Will there be a big difference?

You can fit a 285/70R-17 on your Jeep, as mentioned it really depends on what look you are after. the lower the offset the more it will push the front lip of the wheel outward.

I would go with the +10. BTW those wheels will be highly desirable in the marketplace here. There a re a lot of people who want them.

If you think you need new wheels for 285, They will mount on your current wheels with no problem.

There’s less than an inch difference in diameter of those tires fyi, you sure you don’t want to go bigger??? ?

I went with the -10 offset. The stance is nice. I will go with bigger tires next time. I didn’t realize how much room I had. I got a match spare wheel too and a tire for 40 bucks off market place. For a Jeep with only 22k miles I’m very happy with it
